Wish List
Wish List
Here is a place to put all the improvements or tweaks that you wish someone would implement for the C2.
Could we include improvements that may seem impossible to those of us who are not gadget minded? And let's not worry about expense.
(1) I'd like some kind of handle or something on the front part of the C2 D so I can more easily bring it upstairs from the basement. (I do this every time we go visit relatives... I put the C2 in the back of the mini van so I don't lose training for the holiday). I keep dinging the woodwork with the foot under the fan cover as I try to swing it around the landing... The thing is a bit awkward to handle...
(2) Put WHEELS on the C2. Either create a new product that works like a rowing bicycle OR, create some kind of chassis that allows you to drop the C2 into it for a jaunt along the bike paths.
I'm sure many of you out there have even better ideas.

Citroen,
Thanks, yes, I noticed the screws. It's usually pretty chaotic (understatement) trying to get the family out the door for these "vacations" so the unscrewing the bitty screws and keeping them safe during the trip to Grammies' house is like, not going to happen in the forseeable future.
Could somebody design a quick-release mechanism for the front foot, similar to the front wheel on a bicycle?
Antonio, yes, I saw that! It looks cool! But, I thought that the streetrower looked a bit... well, fragile compared to my rugged erg. I sure wish the Dreissigackers would try designing something similar to the streetrower. If wishes were horses.....

I would like backlighting on the PM. (Unless I missed that in "utilities").
I live without general electric and don't want to put the generator on and disturb sleeping family during the early A.M.. so I'm using a headlamp.
What about a 20 inch colour screen!
so I can watch a movie! or some sort of screensaver with lots of water, what about combining the c2 with Wii? or a ps3, xb360?
Or some sort of webcam on the pm3! Yhis would be fun to watch!
Rowerbike!!

Make the erg quieter!
It's fine for the gym, but for home, it's a bit noisy. If my kid is watching Disney while I erg, she turns up the volume to hear, which requires me to turn up my ipod to drown out Mickey!
I hope I have hearing left at age 60!
Seriously, I'd be willing to pay some $$ to somebody who could put some kind of sound damper on the erg, without compromising the function.
EDIT: The C2 D is better than the C2 C, but it would still help if the D were even quieter!

Yes they do, but C2 are big enough to take over a much smaller firm like Rowperfect as a way of aquiring their patent.Citroen wrote:I think you'll find that RowPerfect owns the patent on that.jamesg wrote:Fixed seat and frame/rail, with moving flywheel unit.

Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.

Warren Berger made a dynamic fixed seat erg, from a concept2 model B quite some time ago.

His design is different from the later RP design, more stable, and I like it much better.
