Newbie's first post here; I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer...
I have a Wahoo TICKR chest strap monitor which uses Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ for connections. I connected the TICKR to the PM5, and then connected the Erg Data app. As I was rowing, I saw my HR displayed on my Apple Watch via the Erg Data Watch app. My question is, how do I know which device is being used to display / record, as well as being entered into the log? Needless to say, I would prefer to use the chest strap monitor.
If it turns out to be the watch, is there a way to override it and use the strap instead?
Is PM5 / Erg Data showing HR from my chest strap or Apple Watch?
Re: Is PM5 / Erg Data showing HR from my chest strap or Apple Watch?
I learned something from your post. Ergdata runs on an apple watch.
PM5 uses your chest strap (it'll show which it is connected to) and Ergdata (at least on my smartphone) uses PM5. I never wear a watch while running, but I don't see why it would be different.
You can test this by taking your watch off and verifying that it still picks up your HR.
