I used Concept2 Utility to upgrade the PM5 to version 39. How can I downgrade it to the stable version 37? I noticed that upgrading the PM5 from a version lower than 37 to version 37, or from version 37 to version 39, only requires inserting a USB drive directly. However, does downgrading from a higher version to a lower version require any additional steps? When I created version 37 on my PC using Concept2 and inserted the USB drive into the PM5 running version 39, the downgrade process did not seem to start.

Send an email to info@concept2.com and they will help you. It's extremely rare that folks need to downgrade their firmware.

V39 didn't work it had faults. C2 will send you V37 which is still current.

Agree with Nick , v40 and v39 both had bugs. Downgrading to v37 solved the problem. C2 will send you a file you can just drag into the C2 utilty and the firmware downgrade will start automatically. No need to use a usb flash drive assuming you have the C2 utility connected to the PM5
