Hello community.
My father in law was has a rowing machine in his basement and I’m trying to find information on it. A manual would be great or at least some specs about the tower and the display unit. From what I see online it’s a model B circa 1988?? Is the display computer standard issue for that model or are there various ones that you could get? It’s I. Great shape. I put batteries in the computer and it seems to be working. I appreciate anyone’s volunteering of information.
I saved some pics here

Re: What model rower is this?
That's a model B with a PM1. So dates from 1986 (production ended in 1993 but yours is an early model with the original PM1).

Re: What model rower is this?
As you note, it's a Model B. The PM1 monitor is original. All of the measures are standard, so if you don't mind entering your log data manually, you're good to go.
If you want to use apps, or to upload your results automatically to log.concept2.com you may want to purchace a PM5 monitor. But you don't need to.
I do recommend logging your workouts.
Concept 2 carries a full line of replacement parts, schematics, and instructions for maintenance. Note that they sell a number of parts in addition to the ones listed in the on-line store.
