Protecting rower from sun
Protecting rower from sun
Will an indoor rower get sun damage through a window? Does it need to be covered? My rower is inside beside a large window & gets full sun in the afternoon. The apartment is too small to put it anywhere else. It's still winter, but the seat & handle get hot in the afternoon.
If window sun is a problem, what kind of cover do you recommend?

I really doubt it's an issue. Ergs and cockroaches will be the only survivors of a nuclear war.

If its the grey version then YES.
The UV will discolour the plastic fan housing over time. The black C2 rower is better in this regard.
Just pull the window blind or get a block out roller blind.

I'd also be concerned about using it in the summer, with the sun beating down on you.

On the plus side, the bottom of the window is even with the rower seat. I can look out of the window while rowing
Re: Protecting rower from sun
Get an old beach towel to throw over it.
Mark Underwood. Rower first, cyclist too.
