Hi all, please could you let me know whether there might be anywhere to buy an unstable seat for a Model D (eg the Coreperform)? I’d like something that simulates the unstable motion of the boat while erging. From this link, it seems they’re not currently being made (http://www.ps-sport.net/ARSESALES.htm), but any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much.
Coreperform/unstable seat for Model D
Re: Coreperform/unstable seat for Model D
Don't know the answer to your specific question, but I've hacked up a solution for my erg on slides to make it tilt side to side, and I can easily think of something to put under a static erg to do the same thing. For example my first go at it would be; get a 2x6 board, round off the edges on the wider side and put it centered under the legs of the erg. To make it more tilt-y, round the edges more severely or use a 2x4 board. If you are really good, go with a 2x2 board.
Good luck. If you come up with your own ideas, share them. I, for one, am always open to new erg hacks!
(I have a handle hack that allows me to simulate the feathering/squaring motion of oars. I can feel my forearms getting stronger already).

Hey Fdgp, I too looked at the tilting seat and couldn’t find it. What I did find was a tilting platform, but then held back for a while due to cost. Just recently I bought it - and my only regret is not having bought it soonerFdgp wrote: ↑March 5th, 2023, 1:55 pmHi all, please could you let me know whether there might be anywhere to buy an unstable seat for a Model D (eg the Coreperform)?
