Replacement of pm2 monitor

Post by Jgvanloo » June 25th, 2022, 3:13 am

Hi,
My pm2 suddenly ceased. No display at all anymore (just some strange symbols after a while rowing). Is it true the pm2 can only be replaced by a pm5?
And is there a secondhand market for these?
Thnx
Guus

You can fit a PM2, PM2+, PM3, PM4 or PM5 to your ergo. Try eBay or Craigslist.

$160 new from Concept 2: https://shop.concept2.com/performance-m ... nitor.html

Be sure to install the correct retrofit kit. You need to replace the sensor.

I assume you tried a new battery on your PM2? Sounds like the LCD may have failed. Could be humidity but they don't often recover.

You don't need to replace the sensor you just need to configure the PM5 to a model C rower in one of the menus of the monitor.

Your PM2 probably has corrosion on the board the LCD seldom fails and will work unless any part of it has gone black or it's been smashed.

I’ve put a pm5 on my model c. Well worth it, especially with the latest ergdata update. Works beautifully with my Apple Watch and iPhone.
