Seat Frozen Forward Straight Out of Box

Post by Gina5686 » September 12th, 2021, 10:52 am

Hello,

I just received and assembled my RowERG yesterday. However, the seat is stuck all the way forward. It seems immovable.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gina

The C2 video seems straightforward - the seat is already on the monorail. Did it roll smoothly when you first took it out of the box? Maybe it just rolled forward real hard and is slightly jammed, in which case a little extra push should loosen it.

There is a C2 phone number listed on the instructions or web site, give them a call if you run out of options, their customer service is top-notch.

Good luck! You'll enjoy your erg once this minor problem gets resolved.

No. The seat is in the same position it was when I opened the box. I'll see what what a bit of jiggling will do, but it seems pretty solidly positioned. I will reach out to Customer Service it that fails.

Thanks for responding.

Hopefully a good smack freed it up. The only concern might be if it indented the roller, which might make it roll like a bad shopping cart. Either way, I’m completely sure C2 will get you fixed up!

with a towel over the rear of the rail so it doesn't go flying the other way and jam at the other end just hit the front of the seat near the bottom of it with a rubber mallet.

If you ever stand the rower up on its nose, make sure the seat is already at the front of the rower or else it races down the slide and jams.
