2 Simple questions

Post by Fig » July 31st, 2021, 8:38 pm

Expecting delivery of my Rowerg on Tuesday!

1) Does it come with the 'D" batteries?

2) What is the height from floor to top of the fan cage?

Looked and looked but cannot find this info anywhere. I've had a Sunny Rower for 2 years and have proved to myself that I will stick with it. So decided to pull the trigger and get a better rower. On alternate days I ride a Boflex C6 indoor bike (love it) and feel its time to have a good quality rower as well. What drew me to the Rowerg is the longevity of the product and the company itself. There are other rowers I think are "cooler" and have more features, but I expect larger ticket item to last many years and for the company to support them. Can't beat Concept 2 for that.

1. Yes, but they're the most common battery anyway. https://www.amazon.com/Energizer-E95BP2 ... B002FTOEFG

2. It depends what length of legs you've ordered. Seat height with standard legs 14 in (36 cm) or with tall legs 20 in (51 cm). None of the docs have the height of the flywheel above the height of the seat (because it's irrelevant). If I stand next to a model D it's about up to my waist.

Congratulations - I'm sure you'll find the rower to be a great workout tool.

Have "fun"

@ernits - thank you for taking the time to measure! I'm making room for it next to my C6 and that fan end will be under a shelf and need to know if I need to raise the shelf or not.

I know D cell batteries are common, but I haven't had a device that uses them in decades. Good to know it comes with a set, was wondering if I needed to pick some up.

Thanks to all for the responses, from my lurking here it seems like a good community but not a very active one. Excited for Tuesday!

Enjoy the process, man. Some must have stuff is: 1) getting ErgData on the phone for some extra data and HR and power graph on LogBook, 2) even if you have a training plan, take a look at Pete's Plan for beginners and the full plan (https://thepeteplan.wordpress.com/the-pete-plan/)

Pete Plan is kinda like Starting Strength for gym or Couch to 5k for running - one of the most well known workout plans for both beginners and advanced rowers alike.

Some years ago we lost a large number of folks when they were assimilated by the Faceborg advertising collective. It is a friendly place, we've only ever had one member who got banned for life (for infringing Godwin's Law amongst other things).

Thanks steve1969va, I did the conversion already and raised the shelf a little.

ernits, I'm going to check out Pete's plans. I have a simple thing I have done the past two years on the Sunny Rower just to keep toned up. I'm 68 and am where I want to be weight and strength wise and bike and row to keep it that way.

citroen, It is a good community. i hate the toxic environments of so many forums. I'm just on a forum to learn and share things, not concerned with anyone's politics, sexual preference or race. There is plenty of hate on the internet, I just don't want to be a part of it. Some places just being a white, male, heterosexual, and Catholic is enough to get hate from people.

Fig - Their problem, not yours. Welcome to the forum.

My rower came with Rayovac batteries and after 19 months they are still showing 58% of their charge. Enjoy your new equipment.

joebasscat - Glad to hear that about the batteries. I know that when the rower is in use the console is powered by the rowing itself. With that kind of battery life I'm not going to worry about having spare batteries around. One of the problems with the Sunny rower was the basically useless console, the Rowerg will be a major upgrade for sure :)

There's no politics, or hate, on this forum. We just want to help, support and occasionally offer constructive criticism.

It is not actually possible to “break” Godwin’s Law. From the horse’s mouth:

It's interesting to compare GL to Scotty in Star Trek with Newton's 2nd Law.

It doesn't remove the fact that folks stepping over the boundaries will be terminated, without prejudice from this forum.
