PM5 not recognizing USB - low battery

Post by Oredigger99 » February 6th, 2021, 5:09 pm

I have a PM5 rower that is about 3 years old.

Recently, the PM5 is not recognizing any USB, giving me a warning that the battery is too low to read the USB.

However, I have swapped out batteries to new ones, so this warning is appearing for batteries between 40% and nearly 100%.

Is there any way to fix this? I have the iPhone app as well.

I simply want to be able to have 2 workouts as my favorites that I can save and reuse.

Update.

A reset did not help.
The firmware is on the latest version.

If I use new batteries (99%), it recognizes the USB. If the batteries are less than 60%, it does not recognize the USB. The second set of new batteries seemed to work

So even though the batteries are not dead, perhaps the meter is inaccurate.

Get a cellphone charger and plug a long USB printer cable into it and run your PM5 from mains power if you want to use the USB stick.

Your battery will always read 100%.
