PM5 not connecting after reset

Post by GTanny » July 26th, 2020, 3:01 am

Hi,

I recently picked up a model C with a PM5 monitor fitted, due to age I decided I would install the silencer kit and change the shock cord, all this went well and the unit was working fine... Then I decided as it's all working to reset the PM5 so the lifetime miles were my lifetime miles and after a refresh was the perfect time.

Unfortunately since resetting the unit it no longer registers any movement on the machine :(

It was working fine before the reset so I know it will work with the unit but am I missing something that I need to do to register it to the machine?

Going to update firmware soon as it's currently on firmware 20 but any help would be excellent.

Cheers.

Could the plug for the sensor wire have become unplugged when you tilted the monitor to access the reset button?

Is your PM5 still set up for the correct model after the reset? (There is a screen where you can see it. I don't remember the details.)

Almost certainly PM5 reset to model "D"... I had the same issue thought the sensor was broken bought a new one to no avail.. then someone on here told me I needed to set the PM5 to model C...

I usually point folks to the "stuck on zero" page
