I don't get it. You can't find a new erg in the UK anywhere (I'm told). On Ebay, old model Cs with PM3s are going for roughly the new price. And I was chatting to the Concept2 guy in Switzerland (where I live) recently who said he'd never known business to be so crazy, and they've completely sold out, with a long waiting list. As it happens, I already own the rower and SkiErg (both bought at full price in 2015 and 2018 respectively) and was feeling quite smug.
But then I checked the German Amazon site, and see that someone is selling new Concept2 rowers and SkiErgs for less than half price. 470 Euros for the rower, with delivery around Europe within a couple of weeks:

What's going on? Am I missing something?
Why are new ergs half-price in Germany?

It will be a con and I bet that the advert will disappear very soon. I have seen it happen in England a couple of times

Well OK, could be. That was my first thought too but they certainly look legit. I half expect that on Ebay but for some reason, I expect Amazon to be more reliable. (That said, the sellers have not had much recent feedback so who knows?)Dangerscouse wrote: ↑May 9th, 2020, 4:46 pmIt will be a con and I bet that the advert will disappear very soon. And just in case there's any doubt, I have zero connection with the seller, whether real or not!

Yeah, it was Amazon that I saw it on too and I thought the same thing, surely that's reliable. Concept 2 have confirmed previously that they never do sales, so if it's on sale, it's not legitimate.estragon wrote: ↑May 9th, 2020, 4:55 pmWell OK, could be. Thanks. I've dropped a note to the C2 guy in Switzerland, so no doubt he'll follow this up.

I tried buying one of those a few months ago, cause I thought it`s Amazon, worst case itll get cancelled.
And thats what happened.
After a few days Amazon cancelled the purchase, no money was transferred at all.
If you take a closer look, its always sold by accounts that havent had any sales in a longer time and when you click on them theres something like "please contact me first at email@scammer.com before purchase".
They`re probably hoping to scam a few that get greedy and agree to pay them outside from amazons protection.
In the end, I got my concept2 at regular price, just in time before corona hit
