Wahoo HRM and force curve bug

Post by Jarryd » February 10th, 2020, 10:29 pm

I've got a Wahoo TICKR hrm and a new (last 6 months) model D + PM5. Normally when I row I use the force curve which works as expected. Once I pair the hrm over ant+ the force curve starts to glitch and sometimes the splits don't update as fluently as when nothing is paired. When I say 'glitch' the force curve doesn't draw every single stroke and when it does it isn't as smooth and it disappears almost as quickly as it draws it. When I'm not using the hrm the force curve draws a very smooth curve and it lasts until I pull the next stroke where it draws the next strokes data.

I'm guessing this could be a firmware issue but I'm thinking mine might be up-to-date only because I bought the erg so recently.

Anyone have this problem before?

Start by updating the PM5 firmware to the latest version. It won't be the very latest version on a rower that's been sitting in a warehouse.

This thread can be closed now, Citroen was right. I updated firmware to current version and the wahoo tickr pairs and works normally. Force curve draws itself properly again and the buttons on the PM5 even react quicker now. Cheers.
