New Member/ PM5 Issues

Post by LloydyH85 » December 20th, 2017, 10:56 am

Hi there new member here, iv'e recently got back into my concept 2 and am really enjoying it! Unfortunately i have had a few problems recently firstly my PM5 monitor has got two lines running through the middle of it that are blank so it cuts through whatever writing is on the screen but it doesn't effect the screen once i start start rowing, just every other menu. I then had to replace the batteries and figured that could be the cause of the problem so i changed them this week. I went to use the rower again today and tried to connect my Heart rate monitor and it won't connect and it displays a error code 889. I have looked this code up and don't see any mention on it, I will probably have to contact concept two and ask them but thought it was worth asking the question on here and see if any one has had similar problems or had any suggestions on things i could try. I'm worried i might need to replace the PM5 but as i can still use it at the moment i am inclined to do so until it becomes a real problem but i do like to see my HRM when i train and was hoping to do some longer rows soon so its a bit frustrating. Any input would be greatly appreciated Cheers

Lloyd

Pick up the phone, call Concept2 UK on 0115 9340140. Your PM5 should be covered under warranty.

hi there, I have had the rower just over two years though but only been using it again recently as have been devoting most of my time to cycling, I'm not sure how the warranty works but am looking into it, as far as i can see you get 5 years on the frame parts and two years on the other parts which would unfortunately put me just out of warranty but perhaps its worth phoning them to check.

Give it a try - you won't lose a thing by trying.

your right about that! I contacted them earlier and they have said they will send me a new PM5! So glad i asked now! so thank you for suggesting it! Must say i am thoroughly impressed by concept two customer service! I'm really happy as this was the worst possible time of the year for it to break but looks like i will be using the rower again to it fullest potential sometime soon :)
