I want to upgrade the firmware on my PM4. I am using a MacBook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.1 and Concept2 Utility 7.08 3. I have the cable plugged into my Mac and the bottom of the PM4. When I look under "System Information" for the computer, it shows that a Concept2 Performance Monitor 4 (PM4) is connected to the USB, but the Utility software states "No devices connected". Please advise!
Thanks.
Steve

Re: Concept2 Utility not recognizing PM4
Get a PC and try to do it on Windows.
There is a possibility of corrosion on the USB socket of the monitor or sometimes one or more of the 4 soldered pins to the board make bad contact but its quite rare. Corrosion on the board can also take out the USB comms of the monitor but I would be using a windows PC and a known cable that works on your printer or some other device to do it.
I have literally updated 100's of them on an old Windows XP laptop using the older version of the utilities which work fine. Try the older version of the utilities found here. Version 6.54 works great.

1. Plug the monitor in first and let the PC discover it and set it up.
2. Remove the monitor.
3. Open the update utility and then plug the monitor back in and it should be recognized.
