Using PM 3 to download log card data to C2 Log?

Post by Marc1t » February 21st, 2014, 12:00 pm

Hi there sorry for a really stupid questions I,m very new to this. How do you log workouts to the Concept 2 website logbook using just a PM3 with the cable supplied to verify/rank workouts? I'm assuming you can do this without a card reader? I cant find anything on this on the website, I know you can use a varifying code from the PM or something like that. Another question can I delete workouts directly on the PM3?

You'll need to use the USB cable that plugs into the bottom of the PM3 monitor. Go to http://www.concept2.com/service/software and download the Concept2 Utility software for your computer. If you have a laptop, it'll be easier since you must connect the PM3 to your computer with the cable. If you can't bring the computer to the PM3, then you'll have to remove the PM3 from the rower and take it to your computer to connect.

Once the cable is connecting the computer and the PM3, open the Concept2 Utility application and choose "Transfer Data: Upload to Online Logbook" (Of course, you'll have to create your account on the Logbook site.) All of the workouts on the LogCard will appear in a window, allowing you to choose which workouts you wish to include in the LogBook download. Check the box beside each workout you want to transfer and proceed.

Good luck.

You can log workout by hand at http://log.concept2.com, you'll need to create an ID on there anyway. Manually logged workouts can be verified with the code from the PM3.

With V6.54 of the concept2 utility you can log automatically (using the PM3 or a card reader). Those are automatically verified and noted as "C2Log" entries.

BTW, since you're UK based take a step over to http://therowingcompany.com/forum where all of the Brits and most Europeans hang out.

Hi ,
I am reviving this question. I bought a second hand D model with a PM3 but no log card.
I have installed the utility ( it's now at version 7.06.15).
It was mentioned that "Transfer Data: Upload to Online Logbook" is a possibility to use without the log card.
But I don't get that option.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get that working? Or is buying a log card the only option?

Br,

Jorge
