You didn't list edge 1000 as one of your platforms, although it uses biker monkey interface too, any reason for this ?
The issue I mentioned above is highlighted with the cadence field. There are two entries, the one you reference here is the Garmin field and is not correct. There is a second stroke rate graph and stroke rate information under Connect IQ at the bottom which comes from the monitor and is correct. If you already know this sorry for the repeat, each element in the FIT file (non-developer) has a native number associated with it. Developers using Garmin's system create developer fields and can associate those fields with a native number which I have done. It is up to the site that presents this data to override or ignore the native number mapped items. In this case, Garmin is currently adding the FIT data as supplemental and not using the native number mappings. Hopefully this explains why the Garmin site looks very different than the Sport Tracks site. Sport Tracks uses the developer native number mappings and generates the information in the link I posted above. This is new for everyone and I have hope in the long run it will all come together seamlessly.

The Edge 1000/800 not being supported is simply I just haven't gotten to it. I plan on supporting all devices which are reasonably accessible. There is a lot of mis-information as well as correct information about the limitations of CIQ 1.3 versus CIQ2.X. For this particular application unless something un-expected occurs, it should support both CIQ families.
no problems, juat wanted to know if there was certain difficulties on the CIQ2.x side and if the edge 1000 (it has a larger memory base) causes headaches :)

Really looking forward to updates on this. I've been living with an old FR610 because it had the ant fe capabilities. Recently got a FR735 and this would be amazing to be able to do everything on the 735.
Thanks for putting all the effort in on this, you will make a lot of people very happy. I'm sure people will complain about one thing or another, but don't let those discourage you. So many of us are looking for any support for CiQ watches that anything is better than nothing.

So I should have support for the Edge 1000 in the next day or so, you in then?

Definitely...
It might even compell me buy vivo active in the future, seeing as the fenix is quite heavy for Otw and it looks like the fenix 4 wool be the same, when it eventually is released.
I usually row every day (getting too cold for Otw stuff), so it should get plenty of usage...

jcl wrote:Looking for testers who are able test a developer application for connecting Connect IQ enabled watches to the Concept2 PM5 on either a rower or skierg. Please read the requirements below carefully before accepting to do this.

Requires
This application requires a Concept2 PM5 with firmware v22.

Watch/Device
At this time I am looking for users who have one of the following devices:
  • vivoactive
  • vivoactive HR
  • FR230
  • FR235
  • FR630
  • FR920XT
  • Edge 520
User
User must be self-sufficient in managing their rowing environment. This means they are comfortable upgrading the firmware on the PM5 and Garmin device without assistance from developer. This is development software, it will not impact your equipment but changes to your firmware and Garmin device may interfere with other software you're using and can impact your training. User should be comfortable with this and can afford the possible distruption in their training. If not, this is probably not for you.

If you're comfortable with the above and are interested, please PM me with an email I can work with you on. I will do my best to update the post to indicate I have reached the desired number of testers per device. Thanks!
Here Here!!! i have vivoactive hr, edge 520 and fenix3
what i must do?
thanks

The devices right now without issue are the FR735XT, FR235, and Edge 520. The other devices are either not tested yet or have some issue. The vivoactive HR and Fenix3 have pairing issues and are being worked on. If the Edge 1000 works for you then a new device might not be needed anyway since the Edge devices can show much more on the screen.

https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/2fc7 ... 3bde99f693 can be used to download the application. On that page is a contact developer link, use that to get me an email address and I will get the rest of the information to you. The PM feature on the Concept2 forum doesn't seem to work.

not sure where to send back any feedback. email of course works.
But I thought posting here would get more attention and possibly a little frre advertisement for yourself.

Device EDGE 1000
BikerMonkey 2.x

C2 setup:
ModelD PM5
Firmware V22

Installation.
As per instructions - no problems, straight forward

Connect to PM5
again no problems, straight forward, just follow the instructions.

Normal use (from PM5)
simple rows:
takes all the data, saves as advertises. screenshots see below

From RowPro:
installed the 5.2 beta of rowpro (otherwise problems with online rowing)
setup an offline row (Half Marathon).
rowed.
The PM5 takes the start signal from the RP software. Erg Software records row as it should
I was a bit worried that the row wouldnt "finish" at HM distance but just carry on.
shouldn't have worried, everything worked as it should.

Comments:
1) Either I misssed the "save ride" screen, or it skipped it.
2) The EDGE1000 had wlan activated and was connected to the house network at the time of rowing, and the row was uploaded instantly.
3) weird unicode character on the temperature data
4) distance field (not the IQ distance) is set to 0 - is it possible to overwrite it with the IQ distance field ?

Looks very good, saves all the stats I like to look at.
Great work!

This is a artifact of how Garmin Connect handles developer data. Currently the only distance I can specify is in the Connect IQ sections. Hopefully in the future it will expand to include the sections you are seeing.

At this time it only supports the PM5.
