Looks like I'll be paying about $100 just to keep 3.0. That's enough spending for now.

well the logbook has been updated with regards to the log history:
"Avg Watts","Cal/Hour" have been added to the data.

Lots of data being added except the important stuff that tells you whats being posted is actually accurate in the first place. Really don't know why Concept 2 are so slow to adopt their own verification system across the board on all results, at least as a user option for those of us that want to use it.

Flicked Concept 2 an e-mail but didn't get a reply. The numbers are there already on your season time and season meters so why not add a column in the honors board for overall average pace ?

When you "Add Workout" manually why not put a box there to prompt you for the verification code at the same time with a note beside it "Whats This" so if you click on it, it opens a dialogue box that tells you how to get the verification code from your monitor ? Why is it such a drama to have to go off and search for where you can even enter the code ?

The biggest problem appears to be that the people generating the code for the Logbook are not actually using using the Concept 2 rower on a daily basis so there is no sense of whats important and what is not.

Just got a reply to my e-mail from David Hart at C2, Cheers David.

Perhaps some of the ideas can get thrown about the C2 office or put in a post here for some feedback.

Here's hoping that some more useful additions can be made to the C2 Logbook for the start of the 2016 season.

Subject: Logbook Mails

Hi! I got a logbook mail by a Training Partner but can't make a reply. Is this the case when in the 'contact preferences' the point 'Use Logbook Mail' is unchecked? My Logbook Mailbox says that I don't have Training Partners. But I have two! If you are sending mails wouldn't it be good to get a hint that you can't receive mails if 'Use of Logbook Mail' is unchecked? I'm confused... :?:

can we maybe start a
"for the C2 staff" thread ?

somewhere where we can throw some critisism, ideas around ?

If you want get them to make a change, I think that it would be more effective to mail them directly. If you just want to express public criticism, I suppose that such a thread might serve that purpose.

I meant constructive criticism. But maybe that's not the right word either...
Personally, I'm quite happy.
Not sure what features I would like to have.
More like a feedback thread, where c2 actually comment...

We do get occasional comments from both Jon and Scott, but I agree that it might help to have a regular thread or, better, a subforum that was intended exclusively for communication directly with a C2 representative. But the only difference between that and what we have now is that the general membership does not see the PMs between other forum members and C2 staff. I am not sure that there is a strong need for the other members to see those messages.

They seem to appreciate an e-mail, I got quite a long reply.

Perhaps the Forum being so much in the public eye and also the fact most people are totally anonymous on it doesn't make it the ideal place for a fair and open discussion.

Pretty sure C2 will adopt some of my suggestions, if not next season then at some time in the future as the technology is heading that way regardless, its unstoppable so its just a question of time.

My suggestions were user options anyway so you can choose to keep your publicly visible honors board data in particular, exactly the way it is now or people that have moved on with technology can utilize it to make improvements to the accuracy of the data on the site if they want to.

Some of us now want to be recognized as entering only verified information and its time we had that option available.

Any one else experiencing this phenomena - current beta of ErgData iOS crashes immediately after workout complete and sync attempted? Resolution is to restart app and sync to Logbook is then successful.

I use the logbook as a logbook... If I do a session it often is 5/8 different rows. Wu cd, paddles inbetween, harder intervals. I ofcourse put those in on entry. How the hell should I verify something like that. And I sure don,t want 7 entries for one single session. I don,t care one bit about verification, I just want to be able to log my training.

Its not all about just what you want, I have up to 15 entries a week but if you have RowPro its easy, in fact very soon (as I under stand the changes) you will not require a single press of a button or mouse click to have everything done in the background and everything in the RowPro Logbook will uploaded for you to the C2 Logbook. Everything done Online in RowPro is automatically verified, there are no codes to enter.

Like I said, those who move with the technology should not be getting pinged for those 20 years behind. Those with a PM5 can just stick that USB into a PC at the end of the week and upload as verified.

Some of us do care about verification and want it as an option across the board, even for the challenges. Like I keep saying its an OPTION so you can choose to opt in or keep things exactly the way they are displayed now. Over time the move will be obviously be towards verified rows, you data is already in a verified format.

There is only one type of person who is going to complain bitterly about having his annual honors board meters verified, or even the option for others to have theirs verified and I will leave that to you to work out.

No its all about what you want

Verifying means nothing, you can verify every session your whole family does on your machine. If you want to go ahead. Let me log my training the way I want and I let you log yours. If you want to verify wiping your ass go ahead.

Its not for nothing the only real records are racing records, everything else is just training, I have much better things to do then "proving" to you what I do or don,t in my logbook.

Yep thats the idea I want to verify everything, if you don't want to verify anything the option will be there to carry on as your doing now.

Really not into racing these days like many people its just about training staying fit and hitting an annual meters target at the highest achievable average pace. Its not a 2K race, its a performance based on a whole season of hard rowing at a sustainable limit.

Sure verification is not 100% perfect, if you want me to I can row a WR 2000m and post it next week as a verified row, what do you want me to row it in say is 5:32 fast enough for you ? you would be pretty pissed off if they allowed that to stand against any race entry you made, the feeling is no different for me on the meters board or for the challenges after putting in 100% effort.

All thats needed is a background in electronics and to be a rower and I can rank anything I want but thats not the way I'm wired.
