Well tell that to them, not us.
I think David Hart is already on to it.

Give them a bit of time, I'm sure they will get it sorted.

Why is textline gone, 90% of my trainingsinfo was put in there, in one rough view I could that, now I don,t have a clue anymore. In resurn I see lots of useless info, every context is hidden. Why not an option to keep the old format to view?
This is a very big minus.

Say I did a 2k wu 500 easy paddle, interval sesh, cd. Now I see the av of those, but offcourse Thats useless info. I need to see how I got the total.

The more I think about, the more crap it gets. All my traininginfo is hidden. This way the logbook is useless to me. Simply can,t use it anymore.

That's a known bug and something David Hart is working on. You may want to send an email to assist@digitalrowing.com with details of your failure.

Personally I think the new logbook is an excellent job. I had to write ten new lines of code in my ancient perl code that scrapes the team affiliation stuff to fix it (because the underlying HTML hasn't changed much). Now, I'm just waiting for the 3rd party API to go live (or at least to a beta). Once that's running I'll publish some python code to show how to use it.

So we shouldn't be throwing anything other than praise at David for phase one of a risky job that's been well implemented.

OMG. C2 needs some serious testers before they roll this stuff out. They made it pretty but took away some serious features. Now I cannot display all my data on one screen and I cannot sort by columns. In the rankings, I cannot filter by State, which is pretty useful at times. In filtering workouts, both < and > are needed for distance and time. And then be able to sort the result by column. In the past, when one transitioned from viewing rankings from the Ranked Workouts screen to the Rankings screen, the same age group, distance, etc was displayed. Not now.

I would strongly suggest that someone or a team look at every keystroke on the old system and its result if see if similar capability is in the new system and if not, why not. Now it seems that some lost capability is at best arbitrary.

I did, the way it is now is hopeless for me. Why the textline is removed is beyond me. All relevant data, rate, intervals straight row, ctc, drag, etc etc is hidden. Without that the logbook is more or less useless.
Hope it will be changed soon, otherwise I have to find an other tool

Anyone having trouble viewing it in Firefox? It's really messed up for me. Looks right in Explorer.

Really upset about losing the text line. I had lots of info there for each workout that was easy to see.

Must be the same techs who have done such a masterful job with the PM5.

The criticisms are by veteran rowers and are IMO justified. I say to Concept2, don't change unless you are going to improve across the board. Right now the changes are lacking. One only hope that they get the message and either finish or revamp their changes.

The accolades just keep flowing.

Really if it had been me developing it I would have started a thread here and asked for suggestions on improvements and additions on a bit of a wish list or at least post the feedback that had come in via e-mail and start a bit of a discussion with people that are the "Veteran Rowers".

You can add more available data and make it look nicer, but not take away the existing functionality that people are using. Currently its pretty much 100% useless for me without the sort function on the columns for example of the annual meters board.

If you were going to spend this much time on a complete revamp of the site, get the option of a verification system going properly on the annual meters board and also add a column for average 500m pace for all of your meters, easy calculation it appears in the LogCard summary already for the monitor. As I have said all along distance without pace information is meaningless.

remisture wrote:It's amazing to see all the criticism. This is definitely a step in the right direction. Sure, the new site is not identical to the old one, but thats probably good. What was good user experience in 2000, is not in 2015. My guess is that functionality for both searching and sorting, as well as comparing of log data will come soon, and in a better way than in the old version.

Keep up the good work!
I haven't looked at it since the change, but after reading the many specific complaints, I will hold off for a while until it looks like some of the issues have been resolved. If it looks nicer and has some new useful functions, that's all to the good. But what I am reading here, is that a lot of the previous well-used functions are no longer available and, worse, previous data is missing - that is not tolerable. Surely there could have been some beta testing that would have exposed some of these major flaws before they pulled the rug out from under everyone's feet.

There may be openings for unpaid beta testers. And why not! Competence is where you find it, C2. Keep looking :!: :!:

That was going to be my next suggestion, Run a small group of volunteers in a Beta group for testing.

I would be happy to join in, I provide plenty of feedback to Digital Rowing on improvements and eventually they even listen to a few of them and implement them !

Would have thought you could just run the two versions of the Logbook in parallel while all the problems got sorted then just switchover to the new one ?

Got my first test of it today. It's a ho-hum for me. It seemed to work for the few things I usually do on it and I didn't see anything useful to me in the new stuff. Nevertheless, to me, it seems to have been released prematurely, based what others have posted.
