Can it only be used with an iPhone? Can it gather data and transfer it to a computer? Will there be a desktop application? What about Android support?

Why is it shaped like that?

So atm it is only on iPhone, if we go above our stretch goal we will make an Android app. The dongle transmits every stroke to your phone which can then either be saved on the phone or saved to the cloud. ErgStick.com will be a place to store and compare your sessions to others. Only for coaches who want to set several ergos and watch the scores live at one time.

It is shaped like an oar blade.

Just to let you all know even though we didn't reach our funding goal on Kickstarter we were fortunate to be able to go ahead with building the stick and the iOS app to start ErgStick. As Livio said the sticks are available to pre-order and will be shipped to buyers in February. There is a $20 discount for everyone who purchases before Christmas. We are really excited to be bringing the stick to life and thanks for all your support!
