Dear Board,
I am quite new to indoor-rowing. At the moment I do train at two different Gyms. I am rowing regularly fpr about 3 months now and I am reading a little bit about technique and the C2 Ergs.
Because of the reading I checked the DF at the 2 Ergs in my preferred Gym. I was really surprised when it showed a DF of 78 at damper 4. Even setting the damper to 10, the DF was still only in the high nineties (i can not remember the exact number). I would have expected the DF to be higher as normal (and not lower) due to the fact that the Air-"Cabin" seems to be quite dirty.
I also checked the Information of the PM3 and it stated correctly that it is mounted on a Concept2-D Series.
I know the owner of the gym pretty good, what can I tell him to adjust the DF?
Thank you very much,
Dullman from Bavaria!

Open the cage and clean the dust and fluff out.
Re: Gym-Erg DF 78 at damper 4?
a dirty rotor allows less air to flow in, therefor reducing the DF. cleaner = more air flow= more energy dissipated = higher DF

Thank you for the explanation!

The perf metal band on the shroud also clogs up and won't let air escape so less draw thru the shutter at side. Jack
