Another USB stick worked. Thx! :)

Now ihave the following question, untill now i used a PM3 on my D model. So i have all my row workouts on my logcard (and afcourse on my log.concept2.com logbook page).
Is there any way i can get those workouts (and my lifetime meters) from the logcard to the USB stick?

I have to say that I am really disappointed in the way Concept2 has handled the whole PM5 release. I have version 16 loaded and it is buggy at best. Their web page has version 15 listed as current. In short, they have not taken this very seriously from my point of view. How long does it take to resolve the issues that they have or at least update thier web page to let people know what is going on without having to sift through postings on this forum.

Yes indeed very disappointed, got my retro fit PM5 last night, it turned up with v 15 on it, so first thing I did was download the C2 utility & update, but then it seems the latest update it did was v 15 anyway!. How do I get this V16 or beta ?...I need to connect it to my iphone, but clearly in v 15 there is no ble or wireless connection. Is v16 or the beta still there?..one of the main reasons I upgraded was so I had the wireless connection to the phone & erg data...very poor of C2 not to actually post a sticky or note on the support page to actually let people know what is going on, I have no idea how long away an upgrade is etc
Is v16 or beta still available for download?...all I want is the wireless connection

I'm currently using 16.008 which I haven't found a problem with yet.

Was using 16.004 which seemed fine except I couldn't save favorite workouts.

Email from Scott says to expect version 16.013 or higher in the coming week.

Had 15 to start with the PM5 but it would crash on the power curve screen.

Well loaded up 16.08 last night & had my first row this morning 40 mins, worked perfectly connected to erg on my iphone & logged the row etc, so happy bunny now. Really liking the backlit display, as I row in my garage early morning before its light & its much nicer without the tube lighting on in there.

Newbie here. Just started this past week on the black Model D, obviously came with the PM5. Have been playing with it, trying to figure out what the buttons mean, how best to track my progress. I'd called C2 Customer Service about the latest version of the software, they told me to download the Beta version. I have not yet done that, but am looking forward to doing it. I love the idea of using my I-phone to track my workout.

If you click the "download betas" option in the C2 utility, you can get the latest (beta) firmware, as well as the production versions.

iPhone Bluetooth connectivity isn't supported below the (beta) version 16 of the firmware.

Version 16 should be updated on the PM5 from a computer, not from a USB stick, as USB stick updates have apparently bricked some monitors (though, thankfully, not mine).

I have the option to buy either a new concept 2 model D with pm5, or a one thats been used twice with a pm4 for $700. Is it worth it to get a new one just for the pm5?

It depends on how much you have to pay for a new one. It's allways possible to retrofit pm5 for $200, and if its used only a few times, it is as good as new unless it is stored outdoor in rain and other bad weatherm. PM4 have logcard and pm5 have usb stick. I never use the usb stick on my pm5, because I use android ergdata to sync with concept2 online loggbook. If you buy a modell d with pm4, I guess you will have to buy a cardreader if yoy want to use the logcard. I think its about 50$ For the cardreader. Pm5 have background light on the display. That is nice if the rower is i a dark room.
In the future the ergdata will sync wireless with android . It can sync wireless with iphone today.
Both pm4 and 5 can connect to some garmin watches. (310xt and 910xt and some other olser models). I just sold my 920xt and bought a 910xt, because it could not sync.
I don't know what future firmware will bring, but if pm5 will support connection to 920xt I will be very upset :-)

I am new to Rowing, coming from a running background.

I have a 310XT, and am able to sync the HR belt with the PM5.

How do I get my 310XT to work with my PM5, am I then able to upload the data to training logs (Garmin comnnect, Strava etc.)?

Thanks

First you have to upgrade the firmware at the PM5.
I allways connect the HRM belt to PM5 first.
Then I connect the clock. Turn on the clock and when it turns on the HRM connects to the clock.
Press mode button (at the clock) 2 times, and you will get an antenna signal upper right at the clock.
At the PM5 press MORE -> Turn Wireless on -> connect ANT+ FE.
You find the clock at the PM5 and don't forget to comfirm after choosing it.
Start rowing and the clock records the workout.

If you have problems, you can also see this page:
http://www.concept2.com/service/heart-r ... h-your-pm4

Please notice that newer models like 920XT and 320XT don't have ANT+ FE and it's not possible to connect them to the PM.
Thats why I sold my 920XT, and bought a 910XT :-)
