Upgrading a "C" model with "D" parts?

I was ready to order a replacement chain for my "C" model, than I read somewhere that it was possible to upgrade it with model "d" parts to get a smoother, and quieter stroke, by replacing with a "D" the chain, axle and sprocket that now come as two separate parts. Is this right? anybody done it? is it worth it? What parts # do I need?

Ok i found back the info, it's called the quiet kit and include "D" model chain, sprocket and axle and don't know ehat else.

4 PN 1230 Screw 10/24
4 PN 1236 Nut 10/24
