If I was in your position I would have spent the extra $500 on shipping to get the Oartec Slider delivered to my home.Atorrante wrote:Trigger pulled. I will going to seat now on a black D for the next 8 years at least. The shipping of an Oartec to my country was over 5 hundreds, so i pull the trigger for a new black D with the PM3 (most cost-effective option). Hope to have it in a couple of days to retake my training.
After a few years of use the initial cost of an erg pales into insignificance. It's what it does for you and the joy in using it is what really matters.
I've tried all the dynamic ergs(including the C2 dynamic) and they all have considerable advantages over a basic stationary C2 model D erg. At the very least you should have considered the C2 Dynamic which I assume would have similar delivery costs to the model D.
Oartec Slider is a great erg and a real joy to use. It's movement is superior and puts the basic model D C2 erg into the dark ages. If your happy to workout on an out-dated piece of exercise equipment then that's your choice. But there are smarter options out there.
The Oartec Slider can be set up on RowPro. I've described how it can be done previously on this forum(information as obtained from the bloke who designed the Oartec Slider).
Dynamic ergs are the future. I cannot understand why anyone would want to get another stationary erg again.
