Hi, I have just got my concept 2 rower out of my garage after being stored for the winter. The PM4 screen initially came on then went off and has not turned on since. Have tried new batteries, plugging in USB cable to charger, plugging into PC, but no joy. Any suggestions?

When they go completely dead, sometimes you have to hit the reset button to get them jumpstarted back to life. Using a paperclip bent straight, look for the reset on the back of the monitor on the left side (facing the screen) and right side (facing the battery cover) in a "pocket" in between the two assembly screw pockets on the left side. That should get it to blink back to life with the new batteries. When they discharge fully they can often do this - no big deal. You'll need to reset date and information and all memory will be lost from before.
Alternatively, you can do a "Hard Factory Reset"
Method 1
Hold down the UNITS and DISPLAY button and use a paperclip to depress and release the “Reset” button in the back of the monitor. Keep holding the buttons down for at least 7 seconds or until the display flashes “Setting Factory Defaults” shows briefly. Release the buttons.
Method 2
Remove battery and USB cable if attached. Hold down the UNITS and DISPLAY buttons. Install battery. Keep holding the buttons down for at least 7 seconds or until the display flashes “Setting Factory Defaults” shows briefly. Release the buttons.

OK, try leaving the batteries out overnight or longer (24 hours) to allow the capacitor to fully discharge. Then install fresh batteries, and go through the motions again and you should hopefully be able to get it back I think. The fact that it came back up briefly suggests to me that the capacitor has some information, but it is scrambled, so back to a complete discharge and then try to bring it back up on a hard factory reset. There are very knowledgeable monitor repair members (Citroen - Carl Watts) here that I'm sure will chime in.
