Upgrading Model D from PM3 to PM4

Post by neacail » April 27th, 2013, 11:14 pm

I just purchased my Model D eight days ago. I didn't have a choice as to which monitor I got . . . the store I purchased it from only had them with the PM3. After doing some reading, I would really like the PM4 for the Ant connectivity (I use a Garmin Forerunner 310xt HRM).

I see that I can order the PM4 from the Concept2 online store. How difficult is it to replace the monitor? How much of the rower needs to be taken apart? I'm a pretty smart gal . . . but anything involving wiring is something I approach with caution.

Thanks. :)

It takes less than two minutes.

One minute to unplug the PM3, unscrew the bolt and remove the monitor from the arm.
One minute to refit the PM4, screw up the bolt and re-insert the jack plug.

Thanks! That's just way to easy to not do it. :)

Hi Shelley,

Hope you're able to upgrade to the PM4.

If you do, I'd be interested in buying your PM3. My old PM2 monitor is dead and I'd love to "upgrade" myself.

Thanks.
Adam
