Here you have my setup on the E-model.

I have used the following parts from RAM-MOUNTS http://www.ram-mount.com:

1 RAM-B-252U
1 RAM-B-201U-C
1 RAM-B-202U

To fit the RAM-B-252U on the Concept2 E-model I had to buy a longer bolt - since the bolt used to attach the PM4 monitor was just too short.

From The WALLEE http://www.thewallee.com I bought a Wallee + Mounting disk set, and attached the mounting disk to the RAM-B-202U with some bolts and double sided tape.

Using The Wallee makes it very easy to mount and dismount the ipad on the rowing machine.

I have now ordered a RAM-B-180U and a RAM-B-230U in an attemp to raise the ipad above the PM4 monitor...

BTW - The noise from the rowing machine makes it impossible to hear the iPad - so I guess if you want to listen to music or watch movie you would have to attach a speaker or get some bluetooth headsets..

I was so excited to see that you had found a solution.... I am DYING to take my iPad to the gym for use while I am on the Concept 2 rowing machine. However the photographs that you posted in January are no longer showing. I see blank spaces and an advisory that they cannot be viewed (" TOPIC REVIEW: MOUNTING IPAD TO ERG: This photo is no longer available"-- very frustrating). Is there any way that this can be rectified ????? I really really really want to see what you rigged up !! Many thanks

I was looking for an Ipad2 mount to my Concept2 (mainly cause I want to watch movies while rowing) and found this one after searching for a while. It's a bit pricey, but I thought that if I can spend the money on a Concept2 + Ipad2...
I might as well get this one too :)

I'm too lazy to build one by myself and it'd not work/look as great anyway so it was an easy choice for me ;)

Check it out.

It's made for cars, but I figured it fits perfect to the same bolt that holds up the PM4 monitor / arm.
Anyway...that's the best mount I found.

Hi Timo,

Do you have any photos of this setup? How has it worked out for you?

Very nice set up with the iPad. This would be great for visibility of the data while rowing. The cable that comes with the iPhone connection kit looks so short in the photo provided on Concept2's site but I've been told it's 14 1/2" not including the connection ends. Can anyone using it verify that this is the case?

Yes, I can verify that it is that long. It is longer than it appears in the photos on the website.

Thanks for confirming. The photo is very misleading, looking to be 3in. long.

Hi All,
Old thread, but I wanted to say thanks for having this discussion on here - it gave me some great ideas when modifying my C2.
I mounted a smaller tablet holder for my Nexus 7 (7") using some standard RAM mounting hardware. The arm is mounted on the uppermost joint on for the stock display screen. Also, you'll see the Concept II Android Phone mount here. This was cheap and works great - much easier to read data here than on the stock display.
See photos here:

Hope this helps those of you with DIY mods in mind.

XTOV,

Great update, thank you. I'm looking to mount an 8" tablet, and have tracked down all of the RAM mounting bits needed (thanks for the photos - very helpful!) except for the piece that's actually attached to the ERG?

What part did you use? Any suggestions?
Cheers!
