Does anyone know if power, stroke rate and heart rate data streams from concept 2 PM4 running beta to an iPhone/iPad with the ant+ dongle? I ultimately want to upload the data to garmin connect or better still training peaks directly but don't know if if it streams all the data needed (ie not just HR).
Thanks

I'm trying to do the same via Sports Tracks - I believe it does, though I'm going to confirm that with someone at Concept2 I've been in touch with.
Re: Ant+ garmin fit app
For me the rower PM4 ANT+ sends Speed(pace/1k), Watts and SPM to a Garmin FR70 watch, which uploads to Garmin connect. I get HR but I think the band connects to the watch directly. There is a bug that during rest intervals the Watts and SPM are wrong.Troyjtaylor wrote:Does anyone know if power, stroke rate and heart rate data streams from concept 2 PM4 running beta to an iPhone/iPad with the ant+ dongle? The SkiErg only sends Speed, it does not send Watts and SPM with the current PM firmware, I think v707 beta. I'm guessing that's a bug. I reported it about 2 month ago, no new releases with fixes. You do need to install the PM4 beta firmware to get the ANT+ data.
If you have the Wahoo ANT+ adapter you can spy on all ANT+ data streams with free software

Re: Ant+ garmin fit app
Here's what I just got from Concept2 support:
Data is sent in the ANT+FE defined pattern at 4hz; some data is sent more frequently than others. For details I refer you to the ANT+FE spec at http://www.thisisant.com.
Basics are:
Time, distance, current speed, and HR are sent twice per second
Stroke length and resistance level (drag factor in our case) is sent once per second or two
Cadence (stroke rate) and power are sent once per second or two
Now, although this data is being sent at the rate described above, what rate the WATCH chooses to receive and store it at is up to the Watch. My understanding is that it stores a set of data every 2 seconds, but we have no control over what the watch does with the data.
There is a “Lap” bit that toggles every split or interval, this data is stored in the FIT file as well.
You will probably notice some annoyances if you do multiple workouts in a session; and there are some reported oddities in the ‘rest’ portion of interval training. It’s not perfect.
