C2 Model D with PM3 Monitor for potential sale

Post by Bodie » March 11th, 2012, 3:21 pm

Hi guys,

I bought my rower 4 years ago (2008) and have loved having it. I used it much more the first 3 years, but this last year, not so much. It turns out my lower back may not be what it used to be (which was kind of shoddy in the first place), so I am contemplating selling it so that I can find some other means of exercise.

Truthfully, this makes me really sad! I love rowing, but if I can't do it anymore, it's silly to keep the rower around.

I have taken loving care of this rower. It is in near perfect shape. I live in Missouri, so am wondering if there is any interest out there in the rower? Also, how does one go about shipping it if so?

Any thoughts/advice/inquiries are appreciated.

Thanks much,

Alison Hughes

FedEx will ship anything.....do you have any idea of your asking price?
Every time I save the world I am happy.
It is quite exciting!

From what I have researched thus far, I would think somewhere in the $700-750 range. It's really in just such good condition, yet I would be willing to negotiate something do-able for both parties. I've looked at Ebay, and such and this seems to be a reasonable price range.

Thanks for the FedEx info. It was shipped to me, so obviously it can be shipped elsewhere... :-)

Of course, I don't know your entire situation, but I've had issues with lower back pain. They started shen I was rowing pretty intensely back in the 1980s and occasionally I was bed ridden with the pain. I had all sorts of tests, scans, x-rays, analysis, etc. and they never found anything consistent, so I just lived with my sore back. Once I could afford it I started seeing a chiropractor and things have been markedly better. I still have a low grade sore back (but then I have a sore neck, knee and hand, too) but it is no longer debilitating. I have kept on rowing and erging and it hasn't made it any worse, and now that I'm smarter about how to take care of my back, I think the erg has actually strengthened it. That and the cycling, which works different muscles, seem to be real good for my back.

Long way to say; maybe you don't need to sell the erg, just change some other things and be better all around.

Just a thought. Good luck!

Thanks for the info on back care. I have degenerative disc disease in the lumbar region, so it's just time for me to figure something else out, exercise-wise. So, selling the rower, I am...

Please contact me if interested.

Thanks much...
