Uneven floor in the basement!

Post by malloysa » October 25th, 2011, 8:28 pm

Erg just banished from the living quarters... basement floor is sloped... trying to shim the erg... should the slide be perfectly level? If not, what is the angle? Thanks!

No the slide is not designed to be level, it slopes slightly towards the fan.

Use a level on the floor (between the packing if required) and get this right then just put the Erg on top.

Usually floors are not so far out you need to worry about them.

If there's enough fo a slope you could put a shox box (http://www.shoxbox.biz/) on the front or back to compensate. The chances of it being exactly the size you need is probably slim, but using your erg on a slant isn't unheard of. Here's an example: http://www.powerhousefit.com/photos/
