Do I need a Log Card reader for PM3 Retrofit?

Post by philwhite7 » October 13th, 2011, 3:20 pm

Hello again, rowers. Thinking about getting a PM3 for my Model C so that I can start using RowPro. Will I need the Log Card Reader to transfer PM3 data to my laptop or can I just use a USB cable to do it?

Thanks.

You just use the USB cable thats already connected to your PC to upload your results. The logcard only really serves as a backup that is handy for looking at your results and just in case RowPro crashes, which is pretty rare these days.

RowPro rocks !

The logcard and reader works really well when the nearest model C with PM3 is 5Km from your house (my case).

If the ergo is in you house and you can connect an internet connected PC/laptop to it then you will not need a card reader. What you will need is a $99 copy of RowPro - it will automatically upload stuff to your logbook, it also enables you to join in with the online racing folks.

Cheers Citroen. RowPro is certainly on the wishlist as soon as I can make it happen. Need more motivation!

I appreciate your response. Good luck with your training.
