Model E - Potential Axle Problem

Post by KipperTheDog » August 18th, 2011, 2:32 pm

Hi,

I've got a Concept2 Model E Rower. Can anyone tell me if the drive axle should look like this? I was concerned about the gap/join that is visible... I'm hoping its not a crack.

Image attached at the following TinyPic URL - the gap/join is highlighted in the red box.

Hopefully its completely normal.

Thanks,

Andy

Andy- It's normal. The groove is used as a witness line to identify the specific vendor of that part.......C2JonW

Thanks - is it also okay that the bingee cord "just" touches the axle... again as highlighted in the red box?
