Group lessons – instant setting of monitors by instructor?
Group lessons – instant setting of monitors by instructor?
I do not think there is a solution, asking just to be sure.. I run group lessons having 14 ergs in one place. Some of my instructors do not play with setting of the workouts in the monitor – they just start rowing with music and their clients are happy. I prefer to use set times for workout and rest – mostly I use those which I had defined in Custom List. However, as the number is limited to 5, sometimes I set it as a New workout telling people which button they should push etc. It is manageable with straightforward lessons, not with Intervals Variable etc. However, it still distracts and takes valuable time of the lesson – far too often there is someone who forgot the glasses or is just not familiar with this technology etc. Finally the question: are you aware of a way the instructor could set the workout in all monitors at a time either with of without a PC? I know RowPro might be able to do it. However buying 14 licenses would be a pricey, considering the fact that I would hardly use it for other purposes (few venues, but that is it). Also RowPro works with USB connection, I would prefer serial one or even better the ANT wireless technology..

the simplest solution might be to use log cards, which can hold up to 5 workouts as "favorites" and would save peoples results....C2JonW

With just one logcard you can create a set of five favourites and transfer them to each erg to replace then custom list.c2jonw wrote:the simplest solution might be to use log cards, which can hold up to 5 workouts as "favorites" and would save peoples results....C2JonW
Or wire them and run venue racing, everyone gets the same workout, they all start together and you get the results in a central place.
