Swingstand for ERG
Swingstand for ERG
Hi, I recall having seen ( on the internet ) a stand for the ERG, that is like a swing, the part that holds the ERG could be raised and lowered, this allowed the ERG to tip to its side. The purpose of this was to maintain or improve the balance of a rower on the water. The lower the ERG was the more stable it is, as it is raised toward the pivot point it becomes unstable.
Has anyone seen or heard of such a setup? I'd love to find out.
Thank you.

Put that thing on slides and you'd have quite the contraption.

ShoxBox, Core Preform seat and slides for the D would make a nice setup but expensive. Shoxbox and Core Preform seat would work the balance side of the equation.
Thanks for the correction to Shoxbox from my original Shoebox, memory did not serve me well.

All that stuff seems rather pointless when you only get a "band aid" result. It makes far more sense to just simply go out and get a dynamic erg.slwiser wrote:ShoxBox, Core Preform seat and slides for the D would make a nice setup but expensive. Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.

The new dynamic C2 is less than half that and they are taking orders now.gregsmith01748 wrote:If you have $3500 lying around waiting to be spent.

Wow. I didn't realize it was priced that low ($1250). I was used the RowPerfect pricing and hadn't checked the C2 website since it was posted.
I'm definitely going to have to find somewhere to try it out. Maybe even con my fitness center into buying one!
