Finally got me a C2 today. Used model C with PM2. says it has 1033 km on it. $400 but had to drive four hours one way to get it. Looks and feels like it has been taken care of and rows real well. I will have to get used to it since I have been using a magnetic rower for the last 5 months till I wore it out. I think I put 483,000 meters on it in the last 5 months. Cant wait to get started on this one !!!!
Is a million meters alot on one of these? Didnt seem like it to me since I put nearly a half million on that junk Phoenix magnetic I have before it broke!!!

A million meters is nothing, don't even think about - plenty of folks here have done that far in a single month, and their machines have been just fine!

Cool Thanks. Just did a couple of 2k's one at a 2:07.9 pace and one at a more moderate pace of 2:19.2 which had me at UT1 level. Best I ever did on my old rower was 2:39.8 so that piece of junk was way off. Anyway I dont feel like such a slug but still have work to do.

Good for you! I've been rowing my "new" model C for a few months and it is great. I upgraded to a PM3, which is even better when you can afford it. I had to use the Model B tonight, however; friends are staying in my extra bedroom where the C sits in pieces for the time being 
I have somewhere around 15 million meters on the B over 23 years and now near 1 million on the C, and I expect I'll wear out before either of the machines do!

Sounds like you got a very good deal.
Agree that 1 mil meters is nothing particularly on the Model C which is built like a tank. I have many million meters on mine/ours and still have the original equipment with the exception of swapping out the handle for the more ergonomic one that comes with the D & E which I would recommend. Have yet to replace the rollers or tighten the cord but my wife and I do distance rowing as opposed to sprints so this may have something to do with the extended life span of the shock cord/rollers.
Wish that I had room for slides in our basement but I don't so I can't use them.
The D&E are great machines but I will keep chugging along on the C for the time being. Am intrigued by the CII prototype on the new machine that they are developing because it appears to take up less space which would be nice. Montanaandy
