Model B PM1 zero display

Post by Aguillar » October 21st, 2009, 1:28 pm

Hi everyone!

Sorry to start out on the forum with a question, hope that isn't too rude. I've had a good look but can not find the answer in historical posts.

Having brushed the dust off our model B and put new batteries into the monitor; the LCD comes on when you press the shrouded button but fails to display anything but zeros when rowing.

I confess that I am unaware of the sensor mechanism, should there be a magnet on the flywheel? I can't see one.

Suggestions please?

I believe on the B there are 3 steel pins embedded in the flywheel. They do not stick up and are hard to see.

there are several things that could be wrong but it may be as simple as a bad wire. or as bad as a broken computer.
I don't see the schematics for the model B on the web site so I'd call C-2 and ask for help. there customer service is second to none.

It was both the wire and the plug - fixed now.

Thank you very much!
