Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Another workout in the books and it felt quite decent. 4x10min, 3:30r on the kierg, as this seems to be better with less compression. This was after a ~16h fast, unusual for me, but worked well. As food gives me some pressure on the gut, it seemed to be a good approach to go for it before eating. Ti...

Re: Critique my stroke / rate question
Agree to mates above, stroke seems fine and most obvious things you are already aware of. I would try to solve the back rounding and turn that into a more flat and stable back position, pivoting more from the hips, as this gives a stronger catch position and better levers. Breaking arms early can le...

Re: How to improve watts/distance and stay within heart rate......
Fixed a typo. Hehe, but the former version is not wrong at all. You should only eat when hungry, not "when it's time". And you should only eat until you're full, not until your plate is empty (aside from eating the right stuff, but that's a whole other topic). If you follow these two rules, then ov...

Re: How to improve watts/distance and stay within heart rate......
In my case, going to bed slightly hungry is the way to go. Takes a while, but it works. Fixed a typo. Hehe, but the former version is not wrong at all. You should only eat when hungry, not "when it's time". And you should only eat until you're full, not until your plate is empty (aside from eating ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
30min row to see how it feels. Got some relief from the pressure in the gut since yesterday afternoon, so thought to give it a try. Not too bad, but shortened the stroke a bit to prevent too much pressure, which still occurs. And it felt like rowing in mud  Anyway, some meters in and giving so...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
I'm not sure to be honest. I assume my gut function is highly impaired by the antibiotics I got. So hopefully it only takes another week or two (or even some more... :? ) to come back to normal function. Very inconvenient feeling throughout the day  Currently eating twice a day with roughly 14...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
After having food, pressure started to flare up again... :( Seems to be a long way back, unfortunately. Well, that's not the news I was hoping to read, and I'm sure thats multiplied by 1000 for you. Do you just need to be very careful with what you eat, or are you not sure of why it happened? I'm n...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Had a very uncomfortable day on Wednesday, not exactly sure why, but assume due to some crap food from a birthday on Tuesday (had two pieces of cake, probably not the best decision right now...). In general I feel some unpleasant pressure in the gut after eating. Hope it gets better next days... Tod...

Re: The Lunch Hour 2k Pete plan (following on the BPP plan).
I don't have fan. There are several designs and ideas around fans being connected with the wheel of the concept2. Any success for anybody ? or any alterntive ideas ? I would be happy to hear how you cope with the heat (>28oC up to 34oC). Is it worth training in the heat of summer? No fan in general...

Re: Slack in cord?
Most likely the slack occurs when you slam down your arms and body without a proper reach before. When you create much momentum, but reach to the top of the stroke just before you hit the drive and get connection, the cable isn't straight to transfer power to the flywheel. It's a timing issue with a...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Hit some slightly more intense meters on the skierg today, as I felt good the first day since last Monday being back home. 4x10min 3:30r I hope you get back to 100% in no time. I haven't searched through the thread or the forums for that matter but how have you been liking the SkiErg? I initially h...
