Why bother? The monitor shows power directly.
Concept 2 doesn't put into print any power accuracy for the BikeErg. I just read the specs and there is nothing. I probably wouldn't be using one of these on Zwift.

Re: Model C seat and rail issues?

Windex has been great for maintaining a clean slide for me but when I got my new (to me) erg I used barkeepers friend and the slide was quite shiny! Chemicals are not needed. The black is fine partials of the 304 stainless rail and any dust that settles on the rail. I basically couldn't use the row...

Re: Model C seat and rail issues?

You need to wipe the slide and rollers before every row with a damp cloth.

Re: Scary Minute after PM5 Firmware Update

Factory Default reset is just that, it resets everything including the Odo to zero.

It pays to run a Concept 2 Online LogBook, its in the cloud and you never lose the data.

I used to factory default reset the monitor at the start of every rowing season.

Re: Does drag factor have units?

A DF of 100 is pretty low.

Most people run between 100 and 130. I started out on 168 but managed to get it down over time as my performance improved to 136.

New really thought about it but, out of interest I just measured the WattBike and the overall diameter of the bars that come finished ready to ride is 35mm.

Re: RowPro Version 6??

Seems typical of the rowing community and yet 2 Million users on Zwift.

Despite 12 years banging away on RowPro, I have changed my mind, you do indeed need great graphics if you want the numbers to join.

Re: RowPro Version 6??

I just tried RowPro on the demo license. Seems to work with the PM5, but they no longer let you set up any sort of preset on the demo. I have an old Windows 7 laptop with a permanent license, but that's too much effort for what RowPro is worth. Despite what it looks like on screen you still need a ...

I have a Model C (2003) with a brand new PM5 (month old) and have no issues with it at all.
The PM5 is now onto like its 5th Hardware version, it has changed significantly on the inside and so has the firmware for them now.

Things changed a lot with the Bluetooth side of things as well.

Re: Do I need flywheel/axle bearings?

Funny thing- Mine has had that noise for a few years now and your post inspired me to look into it. It's never been a concern for me because I'd heard it before and it's most often got to do with the generator unit vibrating inside the generator housing. So first thing to try is tightening the two ...

Re: Do I need flywheel/axle bearings?

The flywheel should take close to 2 minutes to stop from 2:00 pace if everything is normal. Possible flywheel weight has come off and the imbalance is hitting the resonant frequency of the cage on the deceleration. Pull the side cover and remove and clean the flywheel and look for the weight. As I h...

Re: Pm5 to model c. Cant find more uttiltes option

It pays to update the PM5 to the latest firmware, changing models is easier on the PM5 than the older PM3 or PM4 as its no longer a hidden menu.

Re: ‘Training at insane levels’: Inside the brutal, elite world of private school rowing

Its very common to have heart related faults and not even know you have them. Plenty of people have collapsed on the sports field and lets get honest here, sports performance drug usage is rife these days, even at the high school level. Its inevitable in the ultra competitive world of sport that som...

Re: Issues with Model C with PM5 getting sporadic data

Do a search on here.

You need to set the PM5 monitor to the right version of rower.

The sensors are generally reliable but the wires break or go intermittent at the connector.

The PM5 will throw an error on start up if the sensor is not plugged in or potentially faulty.
