Seems to be the case. I am hearing similar things from different places. Also I was turned on to a technique on another forum. This couple is sharing an erg and kettlebells. One person does 500M and the other is doing snatches, jerks, whatever, I imagine you can do whatever. I suppose bodyweight stu...

I still have to have my Dr Pepper fix but the vast majority of what I drink is iced tea. I have the 2 quart Mr Coffee iced tea maker (keep hearing negatives about the 3 quart) and a variety of loose teas. Oh and the Sam's Club sized box of Splenda keeps things cheap too.. There was a study(British I...

Just got my erg. Looks like it had an eventful trip, the box had been re-taped but it was also torn down the center, surprisingly all the parts were inside and not a scratch on the erg. Been puttering around on it for the last couple hours on and off. Row 2 or 3 minutes, watch a rowing vid, go back ...

I came across this clip on YouTube that I found helpful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXnKyJdA01w&mode=related&search= As a neophyte, it has helped me to understand better some of the tips that are offered on the forum. I plan to make the trek to get some personal instruction at Xeno's establishm...

Are you drinking enough water throughout the day? Also, medications might be causing the heartburn. Aleve and ibuprofen give me serious heartburn if I am taking it over a long period of time, Aleve was the worst for me...

I stumbled across that one, the ABC "couch potatoes" segment. Yes, that is the one I meant. What I liked about it was that, even though it was short, he covered the basics of getting an absolute beginner started. Bob S. DW, Did you actually find the video? I just went back into the files to one of ...

there are two links at the bottom of this page: http://www.concept2.com/us/commercial/crossfit/ that you might find useful. One regards damper setting - the other common rowing mistakes. It was prepared for crossfit folks by angela hart - one of our master indoor rowing instructors based in VA. We ...

We are working on a more comprehensive online training section for our website - but that is still a few months off. -bill Bill, One of the best I have seen is a video (about 12 minutes) of Josh Crosby instructing a beginner in his New York gym. It was taken from a TV broadcast. I just looked for t...

I was going to get kinda broke in with the rower for a bit, then likely look up Xeno's place for a lesson or two to make sure I am good to go. I have been scouring you tube for technique videos. I think I got the gist of it, but some tweaking will likely be needed... We shall see. Delivery is next W...

Noob question and intro

36 year old mountain of a man, all rugged and stuff, just got my shipping notice yesterday of my D model. Looking to make the mountain into a molehill so to speak. One issue that has been hindering me as of late is a knee injury, tossed off a "side by side" ATV lacking seat belts, 5 weeks of crutche...

I would say that in general you would be better off eating after, provided it hasn't been too awful long since you last ate. Being starved and attempting strenuous exercise will affect performance and motivation... In which case a piece of fruit right when you get home before your hour of decompress...
