Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Well. 75.75 kilos today. And if that sounds too good to be true, it is. My digestive tract contains absolutely nothing. Spent yesterday in hospital on a saline and pain relief drip because my digestive system had a hissy fit. Any further would be TMI! 24 hours rehydrating and eating carefully needed...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Away from my pain cave for a while. The good news is it's very sunny here in France! Lots of bike kms in with plenty of climbing. And the missus is at home, so I don't get overfed. I might get down to below 75 kilos if I stay on salad and tuna and 300km per week! I'm keeping core and upper body goin...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
On-water in a masters 4+ today. The work was 6 X 5 minutes at 24-28 SPM. A little wind and shaky boat set made it difficult to put as much oomph into the strokes as I'd have liked (I'm sure my boat mates felt the same way). Animal Nige ... do you have any climbing goals at the moment? I've climbed ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
10 minute warmup, then onto the climbing wall with ab work in the downtime. I felt weaker today. Moves felt harder.
Then a 10k at r19 ending with average of 2:02, trying to build power.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
8x750m/3:00r this morning. First six reps below 1:45, JUST managed to get last two reps below 1:46 Started off trying to work 50 crunches and band assisted ring lock offs into the 3:00r. That lasted a few reps before all I could do was slump. Probably I should work on that. Completed ab work and rin...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
10 minute warmup after which I did an endurance session on the climbing wall. Up and down the warm up route worked in with some abs.
Then 10k free rate ending at 39:59:00.0 with very worked abs and forearms and sore hands.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Slow day. 10k at r20 ending with about a 2:10 pace.
Then light abs, font lever progressions fully tucked on rings, and 3x7 dips and 3x10 rows.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Legs torn off on the "club ride" (read "pseudo road race") yesterday. Dropped on the last hill, but kept up the effort, held the group in sight all the way to the caff. This morning an r20 HM, then some bouldering and more one arm lock offs on rings until failure and a negative rep happens. One ban...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
10k at r20 keeping at or just below 2:00. It really does become a struggle! Which shows that I'm working some neglected weakness since I can pull 1:51s at high rates. It gets so hard that I'm grunting at each finish which probably annoys the neighbours at 7:30am! Then 3x80 crunches and some boulderi...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Yesterday off because of blood blister right under my middle finger where the erg handle "hooks" from slipping off a climbing hold. Taped it down hard this morning and did a 10k at r20, maintaining 2:05. I've decided that low rating training and building the pace achievable at r20 will help me. I am...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
A sweaty 30r20 today where I managed to hold it to 2:00 in the end. So difficult to keep pulling so hard. I can do a 10k at around 1:51 when free rating. I think working this weakness will help in the long run. That hard pulling did cause skin issues, and after my ab work, I slipped off a hold when ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
No. My HM PB is a 1:57.1 so in hindsight, it was plain dumb. I need the R20 work to get used to really pulling hard as opposed to moving fast.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Wanted to do my regular Sunday half marathon. Started off pulling 1:55s at r23 thinking I could keep it up. Aerobically, the lungs and heart were providing what they needed: O2 But rowing is strange and difficult. You'd never just give up a 90 minute bike ride in a pathetic heap by the side of the r...
