Check out the entry form here:

Scroll down for a map of the two courses. It's a beautiful place to row.

Are you interested in skating or classic? V2 makes a wide range of skis. I have the Aero XL 125 for skating. They are super smooth and fun. A great diversion from rowing.

Another excellent report Rick. Congratulations on a fine row despite the little mixup. I was sorry I couldn't be there in person this year. Your reporting and the video is nearly as good. Thanks.

I bought a model A at a yard sale a few years ago for $100. It had a PM2 on it and was in good working condition. I replaced the shock cord and am still using it.

Model A question

So I have this model A at a summer place where I go and I'm used to rowing on my model C at home with a drag factor between 100 -115. The model A feels pretty heavy even with the chain on the largest cog (most teeth) on the fly wheel. What can I do to lighten it up? Install an even bigger cog? Take ...

What kind of single? These Burham racks from Durham Boat Company are popular in my area. I have a Hudson rack that I bought in a pinch only to find out that my Van Dusen wouldn't fit in it. I modified it a little and it works fine now. http://www.durhamboat.com/accessories.php (scroll down a bit) ht...

I have a 10 year old Van Dusen lightweight Advantage single that I really like but don't get out in enough. I also have a CLC Annapolis Wherry that I built at the Wooden Boat School in Brooklin, Maine. It's a great boat for cruising out and around the islands here in Maine.

Paul,

You've said that they could do better at the catch. What specifically would you have them do for more "system acceleration"?

gcanyon, You found it. Until this last year I rowed out of Cal Yacht Club. Some years the race goes from the mainland to Catalina, and other years from Catalina to the Marina. A couple of years they've done a two day around Catalina row. I've done both a MDR to Catalina and an around Catalina row bo...
