Re: Ass Blisters

Being a cyclist as well the thing to remember is keep it clean both your crack and what ever you're rowing in. Chamois creme is what the cyclists use it helps protect against saddle sores (which is probably similar to what you have)my favourite is Assos has a little tingle to it. If it's bothering y...

Re: Ass Blisters

Another thing you can try is Bodyglide, I use it in the summer to stop chaffing in my crotch while running.

Re: Set up the C2 on an incline?

Bucky, I'm a cyclist too, the best way to keep the legs for cycling is to get an indoor trainer for that. The top being a comp-trainer, it's the Concept 2 of the cycling world. I love my rowing, in the off season I use it to maintain weight and cardio, in cycling season I do it just because I love it.

Your basically advising someone to dehydrate themself to lose weight quickly? Because to sweat off 2kg just prior to an event would be all fluid loss.

I started to get caluses, and switched to cycling gloves. As rowing is my secondary sport, International pistol shooitng is my primary sport and hand and grip feel are important, I didn't want to adversely affect my shooting. The cycling gloves have now made it a non issue.

Thanks for the advice... of course in the end you have to "just do it", I know that, but lots of good ideas for taking your mind off the grind. I also agree that it's not good to be aiming for new personal best times every time, that just puts too much pressure on. I think deciding beforehand that ...

Unfortantely its easy to be lulled into the "weight loss" as a reward. When you work hard and don't loose weight it can be very demoralizing. You have to look at the big picture, you're doing the right things, eating better and exercising. As others have said if you're losing inches and weight is no...

It's against the laws of physics with regard to the conservation of energy you can not get more energy out of a substance by changing its form. The other fact is that the human body is not 100% efficent either (nowhere even close) so energy is expend everytime you eat, convert and excrete. So eating...
