By the way, I have considered trying to compete as a lightweight in the past, as I am the same height as you at 5'11. Despite being at a large disadvantage against the hwt giants I often compete against, to whom I often give away 6+ inches in height and 15+ kg in weight, it seems pointless to do thi...

Thanks for your interest in my training and coaching Rich, you're welcome to email me if you need training advice any time - the details and costs are on my blog. My training is going very well, thanks for asking. Yesterday I rowed a 4min piece for the concept2 challenge series, and managed 1305m at...

Are you saying people who follow the pete plan row faster than people who follow the wolverine plan? No, what I'm saying is that if you're aiming for a fast 2k time from your training, as most of us are, then you want to get the best possible 2k time in comparison to your training paces. Therefore ...

Re: Wolverine....or just erg hard....always.

As your 10k was at 21spm, and your 1k at 25spm, what you need to improve your times is increased fitness. This will simply come from training, whatever you do. Yes, these are fun times. Enjoy them while they last. Beginners will show improvement whatever they do, often in spite of themselves. Puttin...

I suspect when the monitor gets sets correctly you are going to be shocked at how slow you actually are.

First of April is a month away yet.... Well done on winning a month's free membership. Breaking a 40min 10k I would not say is as easy as John makes out for the average gym user, so the challenge doesn't sound so stupid. The machine is clearly wrong however. I don't think you are lying, or you would...

I know it's off the way. Hmm...I think you are right. Too much driving as for one day. Well...some other time then. Maybe on our [mine, Rob's & MattW's] way back from Southampton on 16th. Good plan covers not just physical preparation, but also mental. Good coach knows how to get most of his athlet...

I like the motivation of posting my training in a diary, and feeling like you are "reporting" to people, so wouldn't like to lose that. Exactly, Pete. You know the feeling after nice sesh you just can't wait to post it in your diary for everyone to see...and you can't log on...crap  Or when yo...

The big problem for C2 UK is that when the site is down the shop doesn't work, and that's bad for business. I believe the forum generate business for them, but without the shop working that's not a lot of good. Does the forum cause, or contribute, to the website going down? If so someone at C2 UK ne...
