FAQ

One thing that helped me was getting a pair of Birkenstock sandals which give you a lower heel position which helps gently stretch the affected area, and the deep heel cup helps with the pain. I believe these helped me quite a bit. I wore them around the house religously. Of course John Rupp will no...

One thing to learn from this for others who may have the isolated chest pain is to quickly make an appointment with a cardiologist. Was your 10 year US Dr. a cardio? Also, I hope you are taking Cardiac Rehab. You may be used to excercising, but not after a heart attack. They will monitor you careful...

[quote=c2bill,Jan 18 2006, 10:03 AM]
we've been approached by these folks with regards to our monitor/heart rate display - i'm wondering what the forum folks think of this product - basically you tie it to your TV set - and if your heart rate drops below a target rate the volume on the set goes...

Lightly tap the u-shaped bolt with a hammer at the round part and the nuts will come clear of the handle. You may then take off the nuts and change the handle.

I feel that something old & flexible is best. I have ordered a pair of Nike's new Free 5.0 which are extremely flexible being based on what Nike calls barefoot technology. Apparently they studied the barefoot running of the Kenyans and tried to come up with a shoe that approximates that. They might ...

Weight Loss/ Weight Control

I had a heart attack and went thru Cardiac Rehab. At that time they told me to keep my target heart rate 10 - 15 beats below the norm for my age group. This is a policy I still follow. The medication will make it difficult for you to reach the normal target rate for your age group.

Paul S...

FAQ

Good grief people, I asked a simple question to aid me in my recovery. I think the main problem is that I was on crutches for 7 weeks and lost a lot of flexability in both feet. Even though I was using my right foot while on crutches it was not a normal walking gait so it lost flexibility and streng...

FAQ

As I approach the finish my heels remain in contact but the rest of my feet raise up. In trying to keep the whole foot down thru out, it seems to stress the shin area and it makes me worry about getting shin splits which I have had before and don't want again. Am I going to far back in my drive? Tha...
