Product

I was thinking of buying the heart rate monitor receiver for my PM2, however, due to limited space I have to disassemble my rower after each use. Would the transmitter and the wiring make it a real chore to disassemble each time?

This is a bit off-topic and may sound odd but I still really like the early 1900s industrial black steel and wood aesthetic of the Model B. If I had the room in my NYC apartment (the B doesn't fold), I would probably have bought a mint one for the way it looks and sounds alone!

I've used my old wrestling shoes to good effect. There's no padding in the sole. They are the most flexible shoes I have ever used with my old track spikes coming second.

I alternate between using a Model C at home and a Model D at the gym at work.
They are more alike than different.
So far I haven't felt deprived by having the C.

Aesthetically, I prefer the black and gray colors of the C.
The D is significantly quieter which is nice but th...

Weight Loss/ Weight Control

If you want to see if rowing builds bulky muscles, try using Google Image to view pictures of Olympic or national-class female rowers. If you don't consider them too bulky after years of heavy training and supplemental weight-training behind them then you aren't likely to get bulky from regular use ...

I second the idea to look on Craig's List (that's how I bought my C in 2005). I saw a Model C on Craig's List New York City for $375 just last week. I often see Bs or Cs at far below the going price on Ebay. I have seen a B at - I think - it was $125 or something like that. Many times these machines...
