Re: Has anyone seriously investigated what the optimum chain lubricant is for the C2 chain?

Thanks Carl
The quality of the machining of the chain had KMC written all over it.
After examining mine, I saw the KMC stamp but mine is a 25F type. My C2 is only a few weeks old so possibly the chain is two generations newer... don't know.

Re: Has anyone seriously investigated what the optimum chain lubricant is for the C2 chain?

Since the PM5 monitor is capable of capturing wattage, I'm going to assume that there is/are single or multiple strain gauges internally. Since power (wattage) is a simple formula of Force (in Newtons) * velocity (meters per second), perhaps there is another methodology being used. I would assume th...

Has anyone seriously investigated what the optimum chain lubricant is for the C2 chain?

When my C2 arrived two weeks ago, my eyes lit up when I saw that it was chain driven. I consulted and tested chains with major cycling chain manufacturers for several years during the time when they were developing a quick -link system for bicycle chains. The difference in roller protection and the ...

Re: Follow up question....thank you

I meant to ask if there exists, a scientific methodology in regard to exact foot placement and the contact device (shoe, sock, bare feet, specific shoe)? I have seen so many mixed messages in regard to this one concept. I feel that for me personally it is extremely important to get this right. No ma...

Re: Follow up question....thank you

Thank you ALL so much! The majority conclusion in regard to 4 x 1000m being a better predictor makes perfect sense. Even with the little time that I have on the C2, I already know that the difference between doing 500 or 1000m intervals is substantial. Since I started this endeavor, I haven't had a ...

Follow up question....thank you

As discussed in my first post... I'm a beginner. I'm interested in the correlation of using interval training , specifically between running and rowing. As a young runner I found a strong suggestion that the average time you could achieve from an interval session of 10 x400m with 1 minute rest would...

Any Advice Greatly Appreciated... thanks in advance

I'm 63 years old and just got a C2 last week. I've never rowed so a total novice. I spent a few days studying the technique.. getting the feel for the motion etc. Yesterday I set the drag factor at 130 and slowly got into a steady effort got going above 21 strokes. I stopped at 40 minutes (very fres...
