Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
https://i.imgur.com/QoEtECP.png Week 5 - Session 3 - 7000 m I confirmed the zone where I want to train for my ''steady-state'' sessions. Due to lack of time, I cannot work only in UT2. I can manage UT2 (33%) - UT1 (67%). I am now satisfied with the pace and technique. BPP is not exactly followed to...

In particular, this 2x2500m, where ...

Post by winniewinser » October 14th, 2024, 11:31 am In my experience a few days off will not really set you back at all but it wouldn't hurt to start back with W4S1 just to ease you back in. Don't think you'd want to be starting with an interval piece. I have found that a week off takes 2 weeks to ...

Week 3 - Session 2 - 2x2000m I was dreading this session as many described it as a 1st test in BPP https://i.imgur.com/wLPUNE0.png I worked in my classic UT1 zone for the first 2k and could not resist seeing what I could do in the second 2k, always trying to maintain a low SR and maintaining power, ...

Week 3 - Session 1 - 6000 m It's going well overall. The increase in distance hints at what is coming up and watching or listening while rowing may help mentally. https://i.imgur.com/9IqZKvX.png A couple of questions (1) my SR has slightly decreased from 21 to 19-20 on average. I have been trying to...

Unread post by iain » October 2nd, 2024, 12:28 pm Agree with Stu. Are you using an HR belt as sometimes watches can under record. You should definitely find these more challenging, how did you feel during them, were you struggling to maintain the pace towards the end of the last couple on intervals...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Resting HR would be helpful, but I would say your pace was initially fine for the 5000, but you didn't need to slow. If you were breathing hard / didn't fully recover by next day however, then maybe start at the 2:22, better to keep consistent than slow as HR drifts, especially when the SS is this ...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Hi all, Just started the Beginner Plan. I survived Week 1. I wanted to share my data to get advice on what I am doing right or wrong and particularly regarding UT1/UT2 training. I have read conflicting views on this. WEEK 2 / session 4 Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M 23:18.3 5,000m 2:19.8 128 740 ...

Disappointed on my 1st 2k rowing
Hello all, I am new in this forum, not in rowing. For the last 2 years, I have been rowing on a cheap model and the next step was to invest in a brand new Concept2 rower. No regret on that, it is what I was looking for. However, based on my previous sessions on the cheap rower, I thought I would nai...
