Re: Anyone ever tried lifting straps on a RowErg?

Get some old trousers and cut out straps from pant legs. Get it?

Many short bursts of high speed or short fast distances will make you fast.

Today 10 sets of 40 jumping lunges, 35s rest (which turns out to be 50/50 work/rest ratio). That was tough!
Gonna try that.

A good bit more exhaustive, yes 😄
The 200m were done with one turn. That burned heavily 😁
Done 4 sets of 16 walking lunges with dumbbells, each 12,5 kg (plus handle about 2 kg). Gonna stop doing squats and increase volume of lunges as these work better my legs and are neutral for my back.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

I was talking about classic lunges, step forward and push back to standing start position. Walking lunges are a bit more exhaustive, but I also did 200m of them often in the summer, when training outside on a football field. I think walking lunges are more than just a bit more exhaustive but of cou...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Sure, if you use progressions of lunges, it gets harder 😄 Currently doing 8 sets of 40 jumping lunges with 35s rest, so 320 reps cut in intervals, taking up ~9mins. If I do classic lunges or squats, I can do them for minutes. For squats I did 580 reps without rest in 15mins. For lunges I never trie...

Going to exhaustion with lunges would take me much longer than 5mins 😄
Oh yeah? :D Jumping lunges or at least walking lunges for 5 minutes?

You're absolutely right, I am sure I could have made 15 mins here or there to do something.
Even 5 minutes would do, even to exhaustion regarding push-ups and lunges. And then we have almost full body workout done.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

At the time, I was happy to finish a 5 km row without taking a break, and anything under 22 minutes was a plus. However, as I maintained consistency, I was blown away at my progress in terms of both my endurance and my pace. I set goals for the season (ending in May) to row a total of 200,000 m, ro...

I have read that short (slow or moderate) 5-10 min workouts immediately after lunch (after each eating generally) are good.

Re: Next stage of weight loss

FYI I am 57 this year, my weight has come down over the past 2 years by over 30kg’s, my resting HR has dropped from 79 bpm to 59bpm. I am the lowest weight I have been since my 20’s and I think fitter now, as I never did cardio then - only weights. I am 54 and like you never as fit as now. And stil...
