Another observation, is you ask for shoe size, but you don't specify which sizing system. I am size 10 (UK), 11 (US) or 45 (EU), and I believe there are further systems for Japan and Australia and probably others.

Yes, they're all in my online log from Day 1.
In that case, I would suggest contacting Concept2 - they're usually pretty helpful: https://log.concept2.com/contact

April Fools' 2024 Challenge Progress

Hi, As we're about half-way through the April Fool's Challenge for this year, I was wondering how people are doing, now that the distances are starting to ramp up? I'm finding it OK so far, although the weekends are hardest for me, as rarely row on Fri/Sat/Sun. I prefer to get my session out the way...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

I've had my Erg for a year now, after not rowing for 30 or so years, so decided to see how my 5000m time has improved. On 22 Feb 2023, I did the following session (ignore the HR figures as they were taken via an unreliable watch HR monitor): 20:47.7 5,000m 2:04.7 180 920 27 73 4:09.8 1,000m 2:04.9 1...

Re: Rowing with a big toe injury?

Hi, I know you've already ordered your Concept2, and maybe you're already enjoying it, but thought I'd share my experience with hallux rigidis and rowing ... it's all good :) I started suffering from big toe problems several years ago, also due to excessive running, which put me out of action for se...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Planned to do a 5km run this morning only, but then when I got home was tempted to join my partner and do a 30 min turbo session together. Then randomly decided to do a quick session on the erg. Legs felt a bit wobbly, but managed a consistent, steady 3km. 12:00.0 3,000m 2:00.0 203 997 23 135 2:24.0...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

As someone who has only done two HM's, looking at the figures, you have a HM in you and probably a quick one at that. Like Dangerouscourse noted, not sure about your resting HR or max HR but with those numbers I'm sure a few might be able to chime in with some targets. I was given some targets by a...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Not sure, I will go beyond a half though - I'm not sure, I can handle 3 plus hours for a marathon! I'm fairly sure that nobody thinks they can until they do it. :D This is probably very true! I've been using an Erg since February this year, after a 30 year 'break', and never considered doing longer...

Re: Row Along- The Grid

Decided to enter this competition on Saturday (after a bit too much wine  ), and got my first row in this morning. Not sure why I decided to do the hour in Section D this morning, seeing as it's a bit warm in the UK today, but got a decent PB (14800m) so happy with my choice. I seem to be bet...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

An unexpected 10K PB for me today - 40:16.1. I was aiming for 2:02.5 pace, but set off quicker for the 1km, felt OK and increased my pace slightly, and had some good energy left for a sprint for the last 1km. Really happy to have knocked 35 seconds off my PB, but now my mind has started wondering if...
