The Concept 2 PM2 only uses a Phillips 8051 based micro, I think the crystal is 4.3Mhz, had to replace them a few times but never actually measured the frequency. Hi, thanks Jaap for the note. On the ESPRowingMonitor: ESP8266 may not have the juice to run an 8 impulse Theil Sen regressor. It has only a max 160Mhz CPU.
